What is a chargeback?
|
A chargeback is a dispute of a credit card transaction made by the cardholder. The bank will receive the request and work with you to address the chargeback. Chargebacks generally occur due to fraudulent activity on the card, customer disputes, duplicate transactions, merchandise not received or from authorisation issues. The associated merchants’ bank account may be debited as outlined by the Card Scheme Rules.

Can I choose when my facility settles for the day?
|
Yes, we realise that your business may operate different hours and we ensure that you have the flexibility to choose when your facility will settle. The facility can only settle once in a 24-hour period. Just let your Ezepos broker know when you would like to settle.

Do I need to have a special bank account for my merchant facility?
|
There is criteria that needs to be followed but generally your merchant facility will settle to any valid bank account.

How long does it take for my application to be processed?
|
Installation occurs between 8-15 working days once you have submitted all required information. Confirmation of the facility is provided once the bank has approved your application. All applications are subject to the banks approval criteria.

What do I need to operate a merchant facility?
|
Most terminals require a standard phone line and power. If you have an ADSL connection you will need to put a filter on the line. Eftpos terminals will not operate on digital or voip lines.

I don't have a registered business name. Can I still apply for a merchant facility?
|
Yes, we can submit an application in your personal name or names if a partnership but we cannot guarantee approval 100% of the time. You should choose a business name and have it registered.

If you are trading in a trading name that is not registered you will need to have registered before you can apply for a merchant facility on that name.

What will I need to provide when applying for a merchant facility?
|
We make it easy! The only thing you will need to provide is proof of your banking account. A copy of a bank printed deposit slip, cancelled cheque or even a bank statement will suffice. We do the rest.

What cards will I be able to accept?
|
Your EFTPOS facility will be able to accept ALL cards – VISA, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Diners International and Australian Debit Cards.

No, Ezepos will provide payment solutions to all businesses that meet the banks application criteria. The fees charged are based on the cost of providing the service to you. As these costs depend on a number of factors including the volume and value of transactions, the prices we offer will depend on your specific business. By understanding your business Ezepos brokers can ensure the fees we charge are appropriate to your business and most importantly, cost effective to you. In addition if you are a member of an association or buying group your fees are based on the groups’ buying power which could see reduce even more. |
